Tennessee administration is much like the presidential system of government seen in United States. In Tennessee administration, the governor of Tennessee can remain the governor for a maximum of four years and can be elected for the post twice only. The governor is the main administrating person in Tennessee and deserves a lot of honor from the residents of the state. The governor of Tennessee is much like the President of United States, only that the governor exercises his power within the state only. Tennessee administration is a system of this manner. The governor of Tennessee is the person who is elected by the people of the state of Tennessee.

This makes him the most powerful chief executive of Tennessee. He or she is is the elected representative of the people and that makes them the most important person in the state. However, unlike all other states of the United States, Tennessee does not chooses its lieutenant-governor directly. The Senate of Tennessee elects its own speaker who acts as the lieutenant governor. The General Assembly of Tennessee is the state legislature of the state and is composed of 33 Senate members and 99 member of House Representatives.
The members of the Senate have a four year tenure but the members of the House has two year tenure. Both the houses has their own speaker and enjoys the title of lieutenant-governor. Majority of the executive officials of Tennessee are elected by the legislature of Tennessee. The highest court of justice in Tennessee is the Supreme Court. There is a Chief Justice and four associate justices in Supreme Court of Tennessee. There can be maximum two justices from one Grand Division in Tennessee. However, the court of criminal appeal has nine judges. It is these factors that has made the administrating system of Tennessee such a success.
