Tennessee State University was founded in the year 1912. It started off as a small college and presently there are two campuses of the Tennessee State University.
Tennessee State University is an urban, land-grant, co-educational and comprehensive university which offers 24 master degrees and 45 bachelor degrees. The Doctoral programs of the Tennessee State University include computer information systems engineering, public administration, psychology, biological sciences, instruction, curriculum, supervision and administration.
The College of Business of Tennessee State University is Association of Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International and AACSB accredited. The Teacher Education Program by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education and American Psychological Association has accredited the Psychology program of the State University of Tennessee.
