The Doctoral programs of the Tennessee State University include computer information systems engineering, public administration, psychology, biological sciences, instruction, curriculum, supervision and administration.

The Teacher Education Program by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education and American Psychological Association has accredited the Psychology program of the State University of Tennessee.
