Great Smoky Mountains National Park

<Great Smoky Mountains National Park is located at the range of the Appalachian Mountains, originally known as Iron Mountains, located in the border of North Carolina and eastern Tennessee. The height of Appalachian Mountains rise to 6643 feet at the Clingmans Dome . The mountain if often covered by blue smoke like a haze, which is responsible for its name. Vast areas of luxurious vegetation is visible on these mountain ranges. The park spread over about 50 miles with 16 peaks.
Great Smoky Mountains National Park, covers an area of 114 kilometer. This park has 965 kilometers of trails through the natural beautiful forests, along with waterfalls and streams, along the trails, right to the peak of this range. Several museums are there, which have preserves of previous farmsteads and a grist mill. This park was authorized in 1930, which gained the status of a national Park in the year 1930.
