Many important Interstate highways run from Tennessee and links the state of Tennessee to other states of the United States. There are a number of important Tennessee highways that serve the state of Tennessee. Some of the most important Tennessee highways are as follows:
US Route11: This important highway enters Tennessee from the western side of Chattanooga. This route is concurrent with another important Interstate route no 38. US 11 follows the eastern highway to downtown Chattanooga. US 11 also passes through broad Street and East 23rd Street. There are many important places by which this route actually passes. In the eastern part of Knoxville, US 11 divides into two parts, US 11E and US 11W. However, both the ways take a northeasterly turn after their formation. Thus, US 11 can be considered as a north bound Interstate highway. US 11W travels through Kingsport while US 11E connects some of the most important city like Johnson City, Greeneville and Morristown. These two sub-routes of US 11 actually metes at Bristol.
